I was never on a formal team. I just submit to the team captain. He says go and do that, I went and did it.
I remember back last summer or so when Para worked hard to get a competition team going. He spent weeks trying to hold tryouts...IIRC, Babo even stepped up and held tryouts on nights Para couldn't make it. That went on for well over a month and only a handful of people would show up, never the same group of people twice, and never enough to make a team. I can certainly understand hesitation after a fiasco like that.

Its all these young bloods thinking that they actually know whats going on..
There have been several times we have tried to create a comp team. They have ALWAYS failed due to lack of commitment from the team members... Not the organiser. If you can provide a concrete example of when this was not the case then show me... there isnt one.
You probably dont even remember the original A-Team.. The B-Team and the seals/marines teams... For a while there we had two very good teams... But everyone wanted a piece of it and eventually interest was lost.. And it was my own stupid fault for listening to the voice of the whining masses.
We are formulating another team tryout for the new year. Thats all the info your getting for now.. If it doesnt work out then you only have yourself to blame..
*edit* So yuou had a few skilled players.. so what? the teams were built on character not skill. Some of the so called skiled players of old were complete muppets. This isnt meant to be a gripe but if you blame the admins for lack of comp team again then your really are gonan get on the wrogn side of me.. I put my guts into the B team just to see people not bother...And if it happens again ....

Would you consider me new blood ? I really hope you guys find the group you need there are a lot of skilled pub masters all they need is training.

I remember the A\B (seals\marine) teams. I wasn't part of it CS then, its been a long time ago...even before your time Jfreak, long before your time
And I remember a bit of the Rizzinator working very hard on getting the B team going. But again, that was before my CS time

I remember that. I thought to myself when I was reading throught the posts long time ago in the before time, wow, neat names.
