Church Piracy, Thoughts and experience?

Ed did not seem to deliver this with any heart at all. He just seems like a corporate CEO who lost his clients to the rival brand... The way he just laughs when mentioning that those people claimed that God called them makes me sick. I will agree that stealing members for the sake of money is wrong. I did not get that message from this video, rather the opposite, Stealing members from EdYoung is stealing money from Ed Young. That is what i got from the video.

In the end it isn't a public matter at all, it's a God matter. If God calls you to start a church and some church members follow you, that is what God wanted. There is no room for politics in the church.

I think we've got two discussions going on here, maybe three:

1: Is Church Piracy a possibility? And is it a bad thing? Or is it just how churches work in the 21st century?

My thoughts: Yes. Yes. No. I agree with Odale that we have the freedom to worship and to worship as we please and where we please, but I'd say that's different than undercutting your pastor to go somewhere else.

2. Is Ed Young a good pastor? Does he care about souls or money? Did he deserve to have a splinter church or two pop out from underneath his wings?

My Thoughts: I try not to. Romans 14:4 says "Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand." That being said I'm not judging you either. Because you are also the Lord's servants.
