Children of guild members

Are there any provisions in the LoE rules for the children of guild members? Today is my son's 12th birthday, and he asked for GW2 for his present.

I would like to get him into the guild, if possible. Does he need to apply on the forums the same as any new member, or is that sort of thing handled in a different way?

I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered before. I did a quick search but couldn't track down the answer.
