Character transfer update

Per Eyonix:



The character transfer service is currently slated to go live sometime this summer. Unfortunately, we don't have a specific date locked down just yet. We'll provide updates on the service as we move closer to its launch.

According to this details and cost have been decieded. I do not see a date yet as to when it will be available. Will post something from Blizzard when I see it.
 
I laugh at all the whining still going on at that news post. Players ask for a service, then still complain when it becomes available. And what's this!?!? fees for services? ridiculous :rolleyes: people make me laugh and shake my head...
 
Well, I was wanting to move one of mine over. But I am not certain I am willing to pay $25 USD for it. I knew there would be a cost associated with it, but there is a point when it isn't worth it.

What character were you looking to bring over?
 
Autolycus - L43 NE Rogue from Stormreaver. My first character in WoW. He is being setup as a combat spec.

That is not good news for transfers wanted to Terenas.


The transfer fee is actually cheap. EQ was charging 50 dollars/transfer for the character going nekkid, and 75 dollars/transfer intact with equipment, gold, etc. Not sure if that is still the going rate, but it was at one time.

Has anyone ever thought about transfering from Terenas to another server? It has crossed my mind with all the problems we have. Just wondering if it has crossed anyone elses.
 
It has, but mainly to get closer to my time zone. But I have to many characters i would want to transfer so I would not do it.
 
well, at least it looks like Terenas is eligible as a destination for all you guys wanting to bring alts over to the guild. I guess we're not as full as it sometimes feels like eh
 
That is great news to hear characters can be transferred to Terenas:)...now I just hope that Bloodhoof comes up soon to be one that we can transfer from, before Terenas becomes ineligible as a site to transfer too.

Btw, how do you see what servers can accept transfers? Or is one of the servers listed one that you had a character on and you are transferring over?

You basically can tell what servers can be transfered to by ones seeing if it is on the list that you can't transfer to. So far Terenas is available to transfer to.
