CGA web site back online

wow your almost faster then my it department, then again they are still trying to do stuff I gave to them 5 weeks ago...

you should put,

"Due to the massive amounts of page visits per day; we have concluded that everyone wants our site to be back up. Thank you for your patience in this manner. As you can obviously see we put the site back up just for you."

Mm, perhaps a "Web site updated to WordPress 2.0.4 would be more appropriate.
Done.

I figured you didn't want me to post a news item saying the site is back online... =D

we should make a directory with the technical expertise of our members; it would be interesting to see what we could do, and to have a large reference base incase some people want help in areas they would rather not spend time in a forum getting flamed about.

What happened to the skin it was using pre-update?
I checked out the web site control panel and the skin is no longer appearing in the Presentation section. I'll see about re-downloading the skin and re-uploading it to the CGA web site, probably some time this week.

there comes a point when it is nice to beable to cram every last bit of info you receive into your array of hard drives... that and the fact that reiser4 cannot corrupt anything unless you are writing to it and you loose power

Uhhh, wrong thread? =P

you say theyre back up and i see the exact same message i've seen since the first time i came -.-
You probably have the splash page cached in your browser. Try hitting refresh a couple times, or emptying your cache.

cache is evil, considering most web pages load <1 second, it doesnt really become necessary till you start hitting 50k hits per day... MySQL will take just about anything you throw at it.

Not wrong thread, just mentioning that backing up stuff like site templates and stuff is usually a fairly good idea...
