How was the cape design chosen?

What do our current member think about the cape: both design and colors? Like it? Hate it?
 
i personally like our cape design, but the problem is there are a lot of other guilds that have capes that look almost exactly like ours.

I agreed with you very much. I wonder if theres a cross that we can do or something that would make us look christian.
 
I'm pretty sure that there isn't a cross. But I brought it up mainly because of the fact that a ton of guilds use the phoenix and the flames. I like it, but I was wondering if we might all make some suggestions and have a guild vote on a new cape or to keep the same one we have now. I don't want to step on anyone's toes who came up with this one, of course, but it might be a way to have the entire guild feel like they were part of the process of selecting what they wear in-game at all times.
 
Ohh thats a neat unity idea. Members could post screenshots of cape ideas (this is easy to do at the cape NPC) and then let the guild vote on it here in the forums. (it would increase forum activity as well)

Personally I really like the current cape, but I would like to be more original as well. I will be satisfied either way.
 
Wish we could design our own cape... a chariot of fire, like the one that took Elijah up, would look very cool!
 
I really think ArenaNet needs to allow custom designs from people computers. As long as the design is not breaking any rules it would be a good idea. Its would be nice to change the capes for our guild but I only think of it as an idea not something thats need be done right away.
 
they said they wouldn't because it would be too much to moniter... imagine all the porn content. seriously.


I pesonally think our capes need to be darker.
 
See what you think of this design. I actually designed it when my guild was getting new capes because our old ones were too common also. I even have a screenshot of my twin! I stood side by side with an ele from another guild who had the same cape as us and his ele looked just like mine. It was then that I decided enough was enough and designed this cape. Ultimately, it didn't win the vote but I still think it looks good and you won't find another one like it.
