Cape contest... coming soon!

Just a reminder, December is just around the corner, and with it comes the bi-annual SoE/SOE cape contest.

In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions for prizes that would appeal to everyone as well as any other suggestions to inspire an increased level of activity within our forums.

I'd really hate to have to change all your capes to pink again to get your attention.

  • Zaishen Keys
  • Set(s) of 100 Glacial Stones
  • Black or White Dyes
  • Ectos
  • Plat

For increased activity....how about putting a link to the forums in the guild login message after the Bible verse and announcing the Cape Contest there.

For prizes, well Z Keys seemed to be a big hit.

I figured you would chime in with that :D. It is a definite possibility, especially if I can get a few of the less active officers to make Xunlai predictions, we might be able to offer a slightly higher number this time. Keys work well because they're either wanted for the title or easy to sell if someone wants cash, so I'd say that's in the running.

One other possibility I might offer is a set of 100 glacial stones - to allow the one of the winners to get glacial gauntlets, assuming they have EotN.

Another might be as simple as cash or another high value item like black or white dyes or ectos.

I think I'll keep a running tally of suggestions in the opening post. Just for fun, I might even do a poll to tally some feedback once I have a few more comments here.
 
Hmm, I like the destroyer core idea, but I think I'd need some help gathering the items for the prize. I've been saving up for a set too and I'm only up to about 15-20 cores.

Would you be willing to participate in a couple guild events to farm them and pool them for the prize? Maybe Glint's Challenge? Donate cores, keep Brotherhood Clothes.
 
I'd participate. I've never done Glint's Challenge and have always wanted to try it. I could certainly use the Hero armor too.
 
I would totally be up for it... but I don't think I'll have a decent internet connection during thanksgiving break next week. The only part of Glint I've done is the first wave (for the farming...)
 
I can donate destroyer cores! I have been selling them lately since I am finished giving them to a few friends until they had enough for their gauntlets.

I get quite a few each week just helping people, or doing my own hero's handbooks. I have..um, 6 right now I think and will gladly fight more Destroyers and tickle them cores out of 'em ;)
 
How do you get so many detroyer cores? I'm looking to end up with a set of gauntlets someday.
 
Ok, so let's set a time for Glint's Challenge and make a deal that all who come to the event donate their destroyer core drops to the cape fund.

Any evening around 8 or 9pm EST works for me.
 
well Aj, I guess you'll have to come farm D Cores with us. I'm thinking Sunday night, nothing too late. This week is kinda messed with Thanksgiving in the middle and Black Friday. Wednesday night would work as well for me personally. But I think Sunday we would get the most people. Idk, thoughts?
