Quote[/b] (Jango @ July 09 2004,9:19)]No, it just fills up. You have a wet dream like every 1-3 days if it is not removed in other ways. It waits until it's full, then discharges during the night.
Are you sure? You can't discharge without having being sexually aroused...and I don't think how much sperm you have in you decides whether you have a fantasy..or, hmm, does it? I'll have to look into this..

Well I'm not sure if I can say this but here goes. U don't have to be sexually aroused to get a erection. Little boys under 10 get them sometimes because it send blood up there which helps in the growing process. Its normal.
Its not how much sperm its your sub concision that tells your body to get rid of it. Its like breathing, do u ever think about every breath, no your body does it automatically.

That's not what I'm talking about.

Semen is not sperm, semen is only like 10% sperm. But, I once had a wet dream, and I dreamed I was getting for a band concert, so no, you don't have to be aroused.

I think it's significantly less than 10% actually. But I guess you're right...huh, that does seem awfully strange to me tho.

Interesting question. It rises up 2 points.

1. Being asleep is a state of unconciousness, therefore there would be no concious thought. I've never been able to "control" what happens in my dreams. But then I think, is it a sin when a thought comes into your mind that isn't very Christian like (i.e. violence, sex, etc..). Because of our human nature, these things come into our mind. A dream is simply a series of thoughts. You can control a dream no more than you can control a thought poping randomly into your head.

2. But, Jesus said to "Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, and all of your soul, and all of your mind..."

The only solution I can find is that you try to keep these thoughts from coming into your head. What you see, hear, touch, and say are what come into your thoughts. If you watch sexual things on TV than you will have lustful thoughts. If you see a lot of violence in your life, than you will have violent thoughts. Try to keep your mind on Godly things and not worldly things. Now, this isn't always a problem for some people. It isn't for me. I've been playing FPS since I was 3 and I have never struck a person out of hate or anger and I've never been in a fight that I didn't talk my way through (or out of). So keep your mind on Godly things and you will have Godly thoughts.

U can't go through life without haaring and seeing sex or violence. Have u seen 75% of commercials have some reference to sex.
But I still don't think it has anything to do with what u've seen or heared. As I said before I've had dreams of stuff that hasn't happened yet. Which I know is pretty weird.

I never said that you could block out all of it, I said you should try. Whether or not you see it at first is not your choice, what is your choice is whether you continue to watch it or listen to it. You can't help it if you see or hear something, but you can decide whether or not you will continue to hear it or see it.

If a person is exposed to something (violence, sex, drugs, etc..) than they will eventaully mimic it subconciously either mentally or literally. This though isn't as common with adults as it is teenagers and children because teens and kids are more impressionable. If you expose a 7 year old to murder movies and gory films, they will become somewhat of violent person or have violent thoughts because they were shown that environment. It's the same with lustful thinking. The further you stay from the root of the temptation, the less you are tempted.

I read on a different Christian forum about this same subject and someone put it this way. "You can't start the engine unless you pull the cord"

Many of us are born with the cord already pulled. Humans have the instinctive drive to reproduce, and so thoughts about sex will never go away so long as there are members of the opposite sex around. Personally I think it's rather silly to be so worked up over sexuality and it's evil nature..it's completely natural for someone to feel that way, and God was the one who made us that way... It's in our genes. Violence too, to a lesser extent, although I agree that violence should be discouraged. But just remember that watching a violent movie will not make you violent...environment is only part of the pie, ya know.

I don't think if a teenager or kid watches violent or gory films when their young they might be more violent.
Before I was 8 I had watched almost every war movie with my dad, from Tora Tora Tora to The Dirty Dozen(my fav. still). I had watched all the bruce Lee, and Chuck Noris movies. By 11 I had watched all the James Bond films that were out. And most of the Drama/Comedy movies. At 13 I watched Basic Instinct (very cool movie),and Porkeys. And if u ask anyone that knows me I'm not violent at all, that may be because my friends are big and like to do bad things. But I've only been in 2 or 3 fights my whole life. Which I know is pretty dull, me being from Surrey the car theft capital of the world.
Every 2-3 weeks when I was younger, me and my dad would rent 5-10 movies on the weekend, but he's to much into steven segal movies. Which has very bad acting in it. The only thing was I couldn't rent anything with nudity in it, but if there was a brief scene it was ok.

Gosh Darn it I rant to much.
