no, when i speak of "pie" i speak of ALL pies in general. that is why pie is so great... such amazing variety... and such amazing...ness... in each specific pie.

i agree... there are tons of different cakes out there... but none are equivalent to the different pies out there.... EXCEPT (in my opinion) Angle-Food cake and Baked Alaska... thus... Pie all around is better than cake... yet when it comes to the two previous dish's mentioned... it is a close tie...
