Thats the link to the new sony mp3 player. I'm trying to pick between these 3 players. The mini is not really the bst but I thought I'd put it in there

Pricewise, go with the Ipod 20Gb.  The new Sony is nearly $200 more expensive.  At that rate, you could get two Ipods and give me one.

Why not just buy a portable CD player that can read MP3's?

MUCH, MUCH cheaper.

Sorry, I never bought into the whole MP3 Player thing.

Well the sony is only 100$ more than the IPod.
I was just in future shop and they have a 20GB mp3/video/picture player, but its 599$.

i would go with the Sony, because i hear the Ipod batteries are expensive to replace when they go out, and also the format used by apple is only used by apple and most new sites that sell music use a WMP (windows media player) format, which the Ipod doesnt support.

I don't remember reading that the sony was compatable with windows media audio....must have missed it.

I agree with DV on this one. I have a portable CD player that plays MP3 CD on CD-R and CD-RW formats. Cost me under $100.

I have a CD player that can play MP3s, but it just plain stinks. It's much easier to just copy the songs you want real quick than to burn CDs over and over again.

I have the Rio S30S....but I suggest the Rio S35S. It comes with 128 MB built in, plus another 512MB (I believe) expandable memory (using MMC/SD)

From those choices, I would pick the mini.

HD holds more songs.
Actually that RCA mp3/video/picture player holds 20gb plus has a CF expansion slot, whic is pretty cool. If it wasn't for the 600$ price tag I would get it.
I'd like a 4GB or better since it holds more songs. The mini has 4gb but its almost the same price as the 20gb regular ipod.

I got a CD Player w/ MP3 compatible/CD-R/CD-RW, most of my burned CD have between 7 - 51 songs/music.

My question is, 5GB/20GB, my burned CD is 650 MB, why would u need over 1,000 songs when you may like to hear half of them?

Trust me, you eventually need more than 700 MB, I have a mp3 cd player, and I love it, it's just that I have to switch discs when I wanna listen to something different, I have about 7 gigs of christian music (and about 1 of video game music). The Ipaq looks pretty cool, do you have a media card with lots of space on it though?
