Burning Crusade: January 2007

wow, that kinda sucks, however I don't mind to much, I am now almost garunteed to hit 60 before it comes out.:p
 
That really does suck. I thought I'd have my free month in between semesters to get the expansion. Now it's coming out probably as soon as I have to go back to school. Argh! Darn you Blizz. *shakes fist* ~.~

That's prettymuch how I feel about this. Dangit, I was supposed to be able to play it during my Christmas break, now it's going to conflict with my school. I wouldn't even care too much if it wasn't entirely complete, I just want to play the stupid thing. Man, if I wasn't already sold on it, this might've been a deal breaker.
 
Yeah, I'm with Icthus here. I don't see another major patch pre-expansion.

I can't say I'm surprised to hear that the date slipped, though. Blizzard has been well known for not releasing products until they're good and ready. I count that to their credit, though. It's a rare company that tells their marketing people to sit down and shut up until their product people are good and ready (as a 'product person', I can well relate to dealing with marketing-imposed deadlines...). However, when they do release, it's a solid product rather than the bug-ridden beta that a lot of companies push out the door. (WoW server nightmares at release notwithstanding - the software was ready, it was the hardware that couldn't keep up.)

I guess I figure November, December, January...whenever. I'm looking forward to it, but I've got plenty to do between now and then. I'm kinda bummed that Blizzard took all my rested XP away a few weeks ago, though - I'm gonna need that again. =)
 
Actually they said with Patch 1.13 in Nov/Dec, they will be releasing with it the new spells/talents and new honor system.
 
Well I don't mind if they release a patch or not, actually its good they have a delay since I need some more time to get my pally epic mount. Cant go into Outland without one!
 
I heard that they are putting another patch in before the launch of BC. The patch will include shared elements between the expansion and those who will not be getting the expansion. For example, the new PvP honor system, new talents and new spells.

I suspect the reasoning behind this is to lower the burden of downloading a monster patch on expansion day for those who don't get the expansion. By pre-releasing the shared componants they are getting the following benefits:

1. Open beta testing of these features prior to release
2. Smaller patch burden on the day of Expansion release
3. Give the subscription base something to complain..er..do during the next 3 months.

Hey now! Heavencent is 55 now. I don't know WHAT you're talking about. =P

Plus I don't really mind if Impending gets 60 before Heavencent does. I'm busy with school and RL friends so it's to be expected.

I see you all the time online and the only friends I have are Mirakle and Treebranch and my dog. And two of the three play WoW.
