Broken: water (from buckets)

I know others are having this issue too, but don't know if it has been reported.

I can get water into a bucket, but when I go to pour it out, it shows for a split second, then it vanishes forever. My internet connection is very fast and reliable (12mb DSL line). And I think I recall this being an issue since the teles were taken offline... maybe a connection there?

p.s. thanks for the creaturebox plugin, it works great, now I just need water for my trap
 
I don't know what is causing this problem so I don't think I'll be able to fix it soon..
 
Gator, I just had a breakthrough! it may help, may not.

When I stand 5m (5 blocks) away and place water, the water stays (same with lava). So if you stand at the maximum distance you can stand to pour water on a block, it works.

how crazy is that?!?
 
one thing to add, it looks like you need to get water from the max distance away too, so try standing 5 blocks away when you get water or lava into a bucket and when you pour it out stand 5 blocks away too.

Confirmed this is working for me.
