Read the bible!! Lots of great stuff in there, and it's kinda hard to put down once you start studing it.

Go for a walk and thank God for the beautiful starts
Get on your game and preach
Go preach in the street (that sounds like fun :D)

Write a prayer list
Ask around for prayers in the street (also sounds like fun :D)
Go to a gym and thank God for everything
Praise God
Spend time with God
do something for God
Pray for God to give you more strength and to reveal His will for you at work the next day.
Play a 1 person chess game and thank God
Eat and thank God for the food (all of it) and the money to pay for it
Be a tool for God

If it helps, I worked swing for 3 years, so I know how you feel. I got home at midnight from a very physical job, and needed time to wind down. I usually read. I picked up a book I had always been meaning to read and actually read it. Ernest Hemingway collection of short stories. That and some tea helped me wind down.

hard to do 90% of that stuff at midnight Aves:P

Depends. For example, if you lived in the best city in the world to live in Calgary, you can purchase a Zoo membership and go to the specail midnight zoo shows. But if you don't live in the best city in the world to live in Calgary, then, I'm sorry, you can't be helped for your poor decisons. You can try sleeping I guess.

I've taken country drives at night, the northern lights are magnificent. My son has needed help with his homework at that time of night. Many pubs are open at that time of night. You can learn candle making at that time of night too.

I remember working swings (and graveyards) for many, many years.... ick ick ick ick... and more ick. When I got home the best thing for me was a book and a hot bath; hot cocoa and a book or TV; this one is dangerous (gained a lot of weight with it)and may not hit some christians very well, but at the time, I was not as close to God as I am now = Chocolate chip cookiedough ice cream with Kalua on top; hot cocoa and a good round of petting your dog; Goblit's suggestion of reading the bible - it's a great time to take to study the bible or pick up a book like something from Lee Strobel like "A Case For Creation" or one of the other 'Case For..' series; or find a recommended book from your church and start studying; put together a bible/book study to have in the future with friends; have a friend over and chat with hot tea or cocoa (pepsi if it's summer and hot or something else cool and refreshing).... the list in my mind can go on and has been somewhat touched on by Avesther. God Bless you in your decisions and future job.
