So BlizzCon 2009 is coming soon and Mish (Sindera) and I (Souladin) thought we'd invite anyone from the guild who lives in the SoCal area over to our house to watch it on Pay Per View. Bring your laptops if you got em. So come on over, August 21 or 22. We live in Huntington Beach and have a nice 47" HDTV to watch all the action and a FiOS Wireless connection.

We'll have more info later on once more of the BlizzCon info and schedule is announced. If its anything like last year, Friday will be the most entertaining time to watch (check out http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/). There is a costume, sound-a-like, and dance contests Friday, plus the interview panels and most of the big announcements.

And Derek, you have to wear a shirt. :eek:
 
W00t, great idea!

I have to go on a work trip Wed 8/21 through Sat 8/22 morning to SF, but if you're still kicking along Saturday afternoon/evening, I will figure out some way to drive up the 405 and say hey!
 
I really want to do something like this. I don't even have cable or whatever you need to get it but I think it would be fun.

I know I could stream it from home but my wife would be mad if I just sat on the computer all day and watched some "stupid" video. At least if I had friends over it would be a party :) Too bad all of my friends quit WoW.
 
Don't worry,, if you miss it you can always catch blizzcon on youtube about a week after the event.. i have done it for the last couple years now.
 
Huntington Beach?? I'd love to come, but that's a loooong way from my place in Fountain Valley.

Still...I might could be persuaded. =)

More info on the BlizzCon party... we just ordered it on DirecTV.

It airs from 11AM until 7PM each day. If memory serves from last year, the Friday night contests and Saturday night concert start at 6PM. We have it set to record on our DVR so we can play back panels and stuff you missed. We don't know the schedule for the panels yet.

So, let's treat this like an open house. Show up when you can, leave when you're done. If your computer is portable, bring it with ya. PST Souladin or Sindera in game for more info/address/phone number, etc., or send us a message on here. We'll have drinks and munchies of the Mexican Fiesta sort. So far, from what I'm hearing, there might be about 10 of us here (unless you're bringing friends). Please let Sindera know when you're planning on coming by, so I can plan more substantial food (read: TACOS!).

If you're coming down on Friday and got a long commute to get here and want to crash to avoid a long drive to and from, talk to Souladin. We have air mattresses, sleeping bags, sofas, and a floor (but not a lot of pillows). But please let us know your thoughts beforehand so we know what to expect.

aw i'll be in washington for a family reunion at this time.
if that wasnt the case and i still had my other car i would totaly drive down there to chill with ya'll, but i drive a '70 el camino. they didnt invent gas mileage yet..
