Anyone else under a blizzard warning today?

San Diego hasn't had a blizzard warning since. . .ever!

Gonna be a chilly 66° today. Brrrrrrrr!

:D

we havent had much snow which is unusual but we do have the usual 10F

No we are having an ice storm...again...possibly to up over 1 inch of ice...the last ice storm we were in was 0.75 inches of ice, and we were without power for 17 days... >_<

EDIT: well after our 1+ inch of ice, it looks like we will then receive 10-12 inches of snow...not only have we been told to prepare for at least 11 days without power, but isolated roof collapses are possible... -_-

I just noticed they changed our snow fall to 3-6 instead of 6-12...well, that is one good thing LOL

It's a balmy 32 degrees here in Anchorage, got a nice steady snowfall over the night, gave us a good three or four inches.

Y'all have fun with that blizzard stuff down there. :p

lolitsjustsnowgais

Edit: Lucky, it's hovering around -10F or so. T_T Samui desu.

Amen to that - flooding is one of the worst things - everything is ruined.

Hope the ice storm isn't too bad in Indy. There was a reallllly bad ice storm here a few years ago, and people were without power for days. It was pretty rough...thankfully Tek and I were up in St Louis at that time, so we missed it.

As for this time, we were told we could get half an inch of ice...with 1-2 inches of sleet on top of that...with maybe 15 inches of snow on top of that They said it could be the worst winter storm here since 1912. That was sort of intimidating....

Buuuut so far it seems like most of the snow is going just north of us. Not that we don't still have plenty. But it's not snow that presents the problem so much as the sheets of ice.... Well, the 40 mph wind isn't super either.

Ah well. Impromptu 3 day weekend. Possibly 4 day weekend. Would prefer better weather and moneys, but at least I'm getting some time to "nest" that I didn't think I'd get. =P

Hehe thanks! Me too! We're not getting much of a warm-up, and so far it's looking like more snow on Monday! But surely it won't be anything like this one....

After having an almost ridiculously mild winter up to this point, this snowstorm has hit us pretty hard. There hasn't been a great deal of snow, but the temperature is in the single digits and the wind is the worst I've seen outside of some hurricanes back in NC.

It's times like this when you find out just how well built you home is, and our apartment is not weathering the storm so well. It's so poorly insulated that we literally have snow drifts on the inside, and only my room which is opposite the wind has managed to stay warm.

In ten years in of living in West Texas this has to be the most sever winter weather I've seen.

We ended up with about 1.5 feet of snow (and it is still snowing) and about 0.75 inches of ice...however...thanks to good repairs from the last ice storm we had, we never lost power, and the city is still open...however...road conditions are beyond horrible and within 3 hours of clearing our driveway...our driveway drifted to about 3 feet... >_< I tried to make a path through our yard, but the snow is frozen solid in the yard...but not in the driveway...heh...

Mostly high, very high, winds here, and in the low 30s. One little bit of ice, now spitting snow. Just had the dogs shaved for flea control, and the look they gave me is heart breaking. Pick up one big branch off of the drive, more may come, the price of living on 22 acres of woods.
