Hurray!! I got my Black Moa Chick! I have wanted one for so long!

Thanks to those of you who helped with advice and encouragement. That's why our guild is so wonderful.
 
Congrats! I've been slowly gathering the stuff I need for one.

This guild and alliance is very awesome.
 
Aleron - do you need any stone grawl necklaces? - I have three or four left over.
 
Thanks, but I'm ok. I've got a few stone grawl necklaces and a bunch of honeycombs. I need to collect a few more skree wings and bog skale fins.
 
I got my skree wings in the Respelndent Makuun - coming in from Yahnur Market. In that initial little valley and around there - not going off too far. Also - I got NONE in hard mode - all in normal mode.
 
I'm making my ele work his way towards Vabbi. I gotta say that Vabbi is probably my favorite area in all of Tyria.
 
Don't tell Baby Pie that... She has been bugging me to help her get hers for a while, unfortunately we keep getting blocked while working our way through... May be posting for some help soon... I really want to help her get her Chick too...
 
It was quite a challenge - taking you all over the map(s). But it was pretty satisfying when that incubator disappears leaving a little black moa chick. I really respect what others have gone through when I see their chick.
 
Aleron - I was helping my son collect items for his chick. I have some skree wings and bog skale fins if you still need some. Let me know.

We are stuck trying to finish up the Sorrows furnace stuff. We have all the necessary items, just have to get hit by the fire or whatever...
 
What I did was treat it like the mission - go around and kill all the groups of Furnace Guardians - I think I even had to tangle with the Djinns. Once I did that and entered the central area - the first thing that happened was I got hit with lava and that did it. No flash or bong or anything - I just noticed my incubator was gone and the chick was there. I didn't have to complete the quest or anything.
 
Once I got my moa chick hatched I bailed.

Now, I had completed the quest as I went through the game doing the Sorrow's Furnace stuff. I don't think you have to complete the quest - but I could be wrong.
 
You do need to have the Final Assault quest active, so you do have to complete the four quests of "To Sorrow's Furnace" - Galen Trask, Kilroy Stonkin, High Priest Alkar and Orozar Highstone. You don't need to finish Final Assault though, just get hit by the "sorrow's flame"

Although, completing it does allow you to add a monument into the Hall of Monuments. That's one more monument I'll need to work on getting one of these days.
