Biblical names!

If you have a name that your parents took out of the Bible (please don't put your last name, i don't want to know them -.o ) then tell us what it is and where it's from in the Bible! =D

My name is Jared, from Genesis 5:17-18 :) :) :)

Thomas.

And for my siblings (these are either first or middle names, in no particular order, for security):

Matthew
James
Paul
Sarah
Bethany

My middle name is Isaiah, and my siblings include David, Seth, Sarah, and Ethan (author of Psalm 89).

My second middle name, Shane, which I go by, is the anglicized form of Sean, which is the Irish version of John, which came from the Latin Johannes, which was adapted from the Greek version of the Hebrew name. Does that count?

you must have done a LOT of research to figure out all those links -.-
yes it counts =D

P.S. if you like Latin, so do I (hence the character names) just as a little coin-kee-dink (coincidence, of course)

I am a William Charles. Good Scottish name, but not Biblical.
My wife is Heather Dawn. Again, not Biblical.

HOWEVER, my son is Joshua Peter, because I want him to be strong, courageous, and never afraid to do what God asks him regardless of the seeming insanity of His request.

Aaron.

My parents were at home doing a crossword puzzle together and debating what I should be named. One of the clues read "brother of Biblical Moses." One 5-letter answer later, I was named.

One of my sons' name is Jesse...The funny thing about that is we had a Guest Evangelist at church once, working in the gifts of prophecy, called out my son, and without knowing his name, prophecied that my son was going to be a little David.:)
