well I would love a diamond crusted platnum chain to glorify myself. Am I trying to be god. No, only that one time with the ant hill at my grandmas house. But I was 10. But really it was the magnifying glass. Really. And who leaves fire crackers out in the open.

This discussion is getting silly.  It has come full circle three or four times.   Either you are bringing it full circle because you don't understand the answer or you don't like the answer and you try rephrasing your question differently hoping for an answer more acceptable to your understanding.

Whether you like it or not, God did what God did at Babel because their intent was selfish and not for the glory of God.  You are doing nothing more with the above comment then attempting to rationalize somebody elses behavior based on your own rationalization of your behaviour (ie...if you think this way, they thought the same way).  The bible makes it quite clear what their intent was.  You can argue and rationalize and justify until you are blue in the face, it doesn't change the fact that the people of Babel were trying to glorify themselves to at least the level God.

I still say that it depends on how u look at it.
So lets agree to disagree
