I just want to take a minute to say a few things. As some of you know by now I have recently retired from the Army and will be going to Iraq to work for about a year for the military as a civilian. While this means I won’t be able to play CS online for that time I will still try to visit the forums as often as I can. (That’s still dependent on internet access over there.)
I do want to thank all the member of ToJ for the fun I, and my family, have had playing on the servers the last few months. The chance to play on servers that try to maintain a fun Christian atmosphere is both refreshing and uplifting and for that I thank all of you.
I especially want to thank the ToJ council for the shirt you all sent me. White is the perfect color to wear in the desert.
All I can say is that I am honored and to be honest, speechless. Thanks, I was truly surprised and touched by this.
I wrote the above a few days ago and I’m planning on posting this today (Friday). I just want to share some of how God has been working in my life these past few days. Tuesday I got a call from my new company that I needed to have a dentist fill out a form saying basically that my teeth won’t fall out for at least a year. I also had to make sure all my shots were up to date to go over there, (something they had said they would take care of in North Carolina). Being retired military I don’t yet have my own civilian dentist and I’m not supposed to be seen at the dentist on post anymore. On my way onto post I prayed, “God, if you want me to go this weekend I need help to get this done.” Anyone who knows the military will tell you that to get something done in a military hospital quickly is rare and to be seen where you no longer have that benefit is a miracle. I went to my old dental station on post and explained to one of the women that work there what was going on and she took my records and the form back to a dentist and got him to sign off on it for me. I then went to immunization at the hospital, which is still one of my benefits, and got 5 shots. Anyways, I found out that I needed this at 9:30 am, went on post, got everything done, and was on the way home in my car by noon. I really feel that this was God reaffirming that it is His will that I go over there.
In closing I just want to thank all of you once again for all the fun I’ve had these last few months. God bless you all.
