So Mirakle and I went to one store and Treebranch, Wall and Zorry went to another.

Team Treegrove went to the Fry's Electronics in Sunnyvale, CA where some random Blizzard employee was signing copies (supposedly). Tree estimated 1,000 peolple there and the store only had 400 copies. They went to an EB games store and had 400 people in line!!

Mirakle and I went to the local EB Games at 11 PM and where the 12th and 13th people in line. We ended up with over 100 at the EB Games we were at.

In all it took almost an hour to download and patch and get in the game.

So, now a list of offenders!! What time did you stay up until playing???

I crawled to bed at 2:20 AM server time which is my local time.

There were 5 or 6 still on when I left...

They must confess there travels...
 
Local stores weren't in on midnight release, but got the phone call from home that my dad got two copies at Best Buy (one for me, one for my brother--a dedicated Hordie from Argent Dawn), so Aniarmhi will be checking out Bloodmyst Isle tonight, good Lord and the patcher willin'!
 
In bed 4am.. had a sweeeeeet Hellfire Ramparts run with Wall and Meli. I got a new blue DSP socketed chest piece that whoops up on my Tier1 !
 
Um...about 4.

And this after I declined the instance run "because I was going to go to bed soon". Whoops. I ended up "one more quest"ing to about the same time as they stayed on, apparently.

On the bright side, I got a little over 25% of the way through 60. (How odd does that sound? "Through 60"?!?!) I had anticipated that Blizzard was going to tune down the XP for quest rewards in Outlands, but it seems that they didn't. I don't know how steep the XP curve gets as you get closer to 70, but if just running 8-10 quests with very little extra killing in a very quest-dense area gets me that much of a level, I doubt the contention that 60-70 will take as long as 1-60.

Its fun, though, and I agree that the quest rewards are nuts. I replaced a couple of the nicest blues available in the old world within a couple hours, and will replace a couple more once I finish the quests I have now. I can't wait to get some instance drops. And I love having new stuff to do and places to see. :D
 
I went to a walmart and didnt feel like waiting in line, got home at 2am (that was the 3rd store I had visited). I went to bed, this morning I called in sick, went and got my copy from an EbGames and I am installing it now.
 
I went last night at like 11:45pm (EST) to Walmart, I would guess there were about 80-100 people in front of me. The person 2 ahead of me got the last copy -_-;; I walked over to an EB in the same shopping plaza though and they had extra on hand so I picked mine up there.

Installed and created a Draenei, and Dridri met me in darkshore and ported me to Ironforge. I'm officially the first female Draenei to step foot in Ironforge on Stonemaul :-D.

I had thought about powerskilling jewelcrafting to 300 last night but decided I should go to sleep since i had to get up this morning for work. Oh well. It looks like it'll be fun though.

I had also considered being the first Draenei to die in Orgrimmar, but the hike would have taken too long. That would have been fun though - leave a level 1 draenei body at the Orgrimmar bank.

Maybe you can join us in one of our instances!!! I did Hellfire Ramparts once last night, and 3 times today so far. I think we're going to move on to the.. Furnace one.. I forgot what it's called (Hellfire Stove? I dunno).
 
Last night it took me longer to download that stupid 2mb patch than it did to install all four CD's and the 150mb patch. I ALMOST called it quits and went to bed, but glad i didn't!

Went to bed at 2:30, woke up at 7:00 and played for a couple more hours!

Wallawinski on the other hand, has been online since last night at midnight... (14 hours ago...) and he's 61!!! I asked him "Are you going to sleep soon?" He said "nope, i'm going to play all day". I think he's trying to get to 62 within 24 hours...

My friend and I left our dorm at about 10:30pm to go to the EBGames we had reserved our copies at. We got there maybe at 10:50pm and the line was maybe 20-30 people long. (I wasn't at the same one that Miri was at) They let us in to the mall, we were waiting out in the cold, at about 11pm. We stood in line with our DSes playing Tetris with each other just watching the line double plus some in size. When we got our copies and were walking out of the store, most of the line was looking at us and we both agreed that we felt like pieces of meat in front of hungry lions because it seemed like we were the only girls there that had actually bought the game for ourselves and weren't there with boyfriends. -_-

After we got back to our dorm, I tried to install the xpac on my laptop since that's all I have at school. My drive seems to be dead. >.< So my friend installed her copy on her desktop and copied her entire folder, xpac and patched and everything, onto her external hard drive and I began copying it to my laptop. Took me 3 hours to do it. -_- Went back to my room and played for a little bit until I started falling asleep at the keyboard in Hellfire Ramparts with Mirakle and Wall. That was at about....6:10am. >.>

Note that there may be changes between the beta content and live content. I don't know. I stopped paying attention to the beta after I finished exploring Shadowmoon Valley a few weeks ago.

Oh, and I have screenshots of Shadowmoon Valley on a CD somewhere, if anyone's interested.

After roughly 9-10 hours I dinged 61. I plan to ding 62 later today after some sleep. There is a mage on a European server that has already hit lvl 70 believe it or not. Took him 28 hours from 60-70. Some of the tactics he used was running with eventually up to 35 people who would kill the mob for him after he tagged it.
