BC Beta - am I the only wierd one?

OK, since I evidently killed the information thread with this post on the members portion (truly sorry), I thought I would repost here, killing my own thread shouldnt be a problem. With that in mind, I pose the following question:

Am I the only one who doesn't WANT to be in the Beta and wouldn't accept even if it was offered?

Of course, I am excited about the expansion and would love for it to come out ASAP, but I am currently still enjoying leveling some of my lower level toons, as well as sneaking in a higher level instance, on the occasions I can get larger blocks of time. I want to see the polished, final work from TBC at release.

In that light, I appriciate those of you who are working in the Beta, not only to have fun, but to make the game that much better. Thank you! You are vital to the process of making the game better for all of us.

Also, there is a part of me which doesn't want to go through it with temporary toons. I prefer that the advancement I make "sticks". I know, the knowledge from the Beta will help you who take part zoom through, and that makes up for a lot, but I guess I get too attached to the gains I make, especially with the toons I have spent a LOT of time with. I dislike the thought of feeling underpowered with a class once I have a taste of later levels. Maybe I am just stingy that way.

Thoughts?
 
The only betas I enjoy being in are for games that have not yet released. I would not like to be in TBC beta as it would be like reading the last chapter of a mystery novel. I am currently in the Vanguard beta and am fine with that as it helps me determine if I would ever actually want to pay to play that game.
 
I would enjoy being in Beta not only to see what is coming out (like a movie coming attraction), but to also let other guildies know what to expect when it does come out. I have really appreciated Adam, Anita, John, and Connor's notes that they have given us and have used this info to start shaping my thoughts to what I want to do with my lvl 60s. Angie's research into posts that others have written have also helped fuel my imagination and excitement for BC.

Hmmm ... I was sure I posted to this right after Xandar's post. D'oh ... that really bites. Retyping it all out kinda takes the wind out of my sails but I'll give the Reader's Digest version.

I love to play the beta so I can be proactive to my guildies. It allows me to educate people on their options. For example, based on my experiences so far, I would suggest strongly that we spend the first week during prime time in the instances and avoid (at all cost) the quests as they will be over run with people camped out. While this information can be gotten from other sources, having someone you know personalizes it and makes it more meaningful. I am willing to do that even though I know I do not gain (in fact lose) anything in the process.
 
I for one would LOOOOOOOOVE to be in the beta, but if I were given a key in I would turn it down --- I'm at college and as such I totally don't play much at all.
 
Don't misunderstand me, I truly do appriciate those of you who are in the Beta and passing the information along. I think its great you are enjoying the process, letting us know whats going on, and making the game better. I thank you all desrve some kudos for that extra effort, and am glad you enjoy it. I am just curious if, as the title says, I am the only wierd one *grin*. Yes, I'll be there on opening day buying the expansion, can't wait! Hope you all help make it perfect!
