Congratulations :-) I still can't get over the fact that my daughter is 2 already. Enjoy every second you have with him. Even when he poops on you like my daughter did 5mins after we got home from the hospital. I'll be praying that your wife and blessed new son remain well and safe, and that God continues to bless your family as He has surely done.

Yes, skin to skin contact is very important for newborns. Helps them in all kinds of ways, from being able to know your scent, help stedy their body temp, to transfering certain immunities that you have in your skin to the child.
