I want a mini-Shiro! Saw someone with one, and it looked sweet! It was funny seeing a tiny evil guy following us around.
 
Now I'm really glad I waited!!

I have to admit though, the whole thing with the collector's edition really helped me out. I had a report and a presentation for school school this week, as well as a few things to finish up for work. I would have never have gotten them done if I'd had Factions to play. So it ended up being a blessing in disguise.

I'm headed to the game store to pick up my copy today....See y'all in Cantha!!

Actually, a "Birthday Present" - a blue box with a yellow bow - shows up in your inventory. When you open it you get a random pet.

So far, the only golds were Shiro and Rurk, the last I heard. There are several other purples and whites, but only one green (bone dragon). Here's guildwiki's page on them.

I know its a blue present, I already got one.

What I meant was that the pet you get random just like item drops. I did not mean to incinuate that the present was a drop. And yes as you said there are 2 golds(rurik and shiro), 1 green, some purples, and whites. There are not any blues however, how curious.

Sorry, I probably could have worded that a little better. My intent was just to clarify the mechanic of how you get the mini-pets for those who haven't had their "birthday" yet. Thanks for posting the screen shot of the present. I was going to do that, but don't have access to my screenshots at work.

I'll edit this tonight to add in screenshots of my Charr Shaman and Jungle Troll. I also have a Kirin, but someone has posted that picture already. The jungle troll's voice isn't miniature, it's just as loud and obnoxious as the full-sized ones and can make you look around if there are other trolls in your area.
 
They follow you around and some make noises.


... so, basically, nothing.

That's why some people are selling them. I'm keeping mine as a novelty, at least for now. Hopefully they increase our storage size soon with all these useless holiday items and now these pets.

Don't even get me started. It wasn't to long ago i finally sold all the spiked eggnog i had gotten. i still have a fair supply of candy canes though....i just always seem to forget them.
