Atheists Contradictions.

Quote[/b] ]Because there is no evidence, reason, logic or proof that would lead one to the believe in a god.

Why do theists beleive in gods? FAITH. The belief in something WITHOUT evidence.

Saying there is no evidence is a false statement. You have just come to that conclusion.
There is plenty of evidence. More evidence that a God exists than any molecule exists.

I'm not a bitter cynical person. I find it easier to understand the mathmatical principles behind physics and chemistry than an all-powerful being capable of everything. We know about atoms and electrons and such like because applying them to everyday life makes sense. Such as why combustion of certain chemicals creats another different one. The rules for that make sense.

You say science and mathematics is easier to understand. Of course it is! Science and Mathematics is our attempt to explain what God has created! Of course it's easier to understandSaying there is no evidence is a false statement. You have just come to that conclusion.
There is plenty of evidence. More evidence that a God exists than any molecule exists. because that's how far we can think. To think of an all powerful creator is harder because it is much larger than Science or Mathematics. I can undertsand why. But to think of our lives being driven on by ourselves and OUR motivation would seem pointless. There is no hope for the future in a life like that. Without God, our lives are pointless.

Have you ever considered the possibility that god and science are one and the same?

Once. But now I believe science is our way to explain what God has created. God is not a creation. He is the creator. We can't put Science and God on equal level. God is greater than Science. That is what I believe.

Hmm. But I think, historically speaking, it is more accurate to say that god is used to explain science, or the things which we do not yet understand. However that is beside the point. Since science can, in theory, do all of the practical things that god can do, is it not possible that god is merely science with a personallity? I tried to bring this up in another thread, but no one bit..

No offense Gen and Rithkil, but that question begins with an incorrect basis.

Atoms are not the smallest elements of matter. There are a whole slew of things smaller as defined in particle physics. Quarks, mesons, hadrons, leptons, just to name a few.

However to answer your question:

[b said:
Quote[/b] ]An atom is the smallest particle of any element that still retains the characteristics of that element. However, atoms consist of even smaller particles. Atoms consist of a central, dense nucleus that is surrounded by one or more lightweight negatively charged particles called electrons. The nucleus is made up of positively charged particles called protons and neutrons which are neutral. An atom is held together by forces of attraction between the electrons and the protons. The neutrons help to hold the protons together. Protons and neutrons are believed to be made up of even smaller particles called quarks.

One more time: I suggest you look at the definitions of proof and evidence.

You have neither.

And if you did, then there would be no need for Faith.

I would say you post before you think in the essense you almost have as many post as me yet you joined augest so do you post before you think or am i just weird

lol who me or DV

God isnt used to explain science... you can scientifically explain anything, maybe not yet but we will be able to if we study it, but God we will never be able to scientifically explain.

This universe is just one small one, who know how many universes God has created wach with their own sciences.

Exactly Byblos

But it put paid to the Church's belief the Earth was flat, the sun revolved around the Earth etc.?

Science may not be able to prove God, but science is what heals God's followers.

When a believer gets sick, do they head to the hospital or to church?

the church isnt God.... and like I saed before if God' told me the sky was made of concrete I would belive him... But if some so called church said something so rediculous I wouldnt belive them.

Heal? Our crayy science can only heal this body, no science can heal the mind or mend the heart, only God can.

I guess you haven't heard of a little thing called neurosurgery or neuroscience.

Regardless, if you were seriously injured, physically, would you go to the hospital or find a fellow believer to lay hands on you?

I have heard of Neuroscience and that doesnt mean you can heal a broken mind.

Physically... I would pray for help, the stupid doctors would make me go there so they can charge me hundreds of dollars!
