At long last...

woot, finally getting what he has deserved for the evil he has done in that country

Actually, hanging is a humane form of capital punishment. The offender's neck is snapped in a split second and death is instantaneous; the offender feels no pain. A rope is re-usable and gallows are inexpensive in comparison to an electric chair or lethal injections.

Any form of execution has it's problems. Hanging has a chance at decapitation of drop distances are miscalculated, ropes can break, etc. Lethal injection actually is very easy and relatively cheap. The supplies and drugs cost under $50... but have a chance of screwing up if the IV is not started properly. Lethal injection is probably the most human, as the prisoner is put to sleep and then their heart rhythm is screwed up by overdosing them on potassium.

Just as you sow, so shall you reap.

At the same time, may God have mercy; both on Saddam, and on those carrying out the sentence.

I am usually against the death penalty, because if they are killed then they no longer have a chance of redemption. Usually I would want them to have as long as possible to get right with God, and become believers in Christ.

Saddam is my exception to that rule. Just as Sodom & Gommorah were beyond redemption-I would have to say so is Saddam.
