This type of thing is something that most people who don't game online will ever understand but I was encouraged by this article from the son. Makes me happy to think in 20 years when my boys (and girls) are schooling me where ever God puts them.

that's a really cool article, and an awesome example of how gaming isn't as evil as everyone makes it out to be.

I'd like to think that some of us have learned better communication and many other important things from our time "playing" with one another. Here, TS, or in-game, I know I've learned things in all three places.

I think some of my friends dont quite get the part of WoW that is "hanging out with friends". Its just the same as a couple buddies coming over to play some console games... but bigger :D

Gaming is not the root of all evil but the heart of men without appropriate principles. This son and his father had a relationship. You will find adolescents and adults who lack a father image in thier life will fill that void with other, some violent, principles. Thus those principles are represented in gaming and redefines the purpose of fun in gaming.

Spot on. We've seen players who have had their lives wrecked by video games, and players who have had their lives enhanced by video games. I can think of at least four cases, including myself, where I've seen them do both in different seasons.

It comes down to the heart actions. :)
