The Temple of Karabor was the center of draenei worship until its priests were slaughtered by demonically corrupted orcs. In the massacre's aftermath, the warlocks of the Shadow Council seized the structure and gave it a new name: the Black Temple.

Once ruled by Magtheridon, it is now home to Illidan. The Betrayer awaits challengers to his rule deep within this ancient structure. To gain more information that would help in planning a successful strike against the Black Temple's occupier, watch this trailer:

A few interesting things from the trailer. It seems that The Black Temple will be opened in Patch 2.1.0 - the patch that we all started downloading a few days ago. All of the big changes to classes, balancing, etc, was also supposed to occur at the same time. Anyone that is currently nearing the end of the quests in SMV will be a great source of what quest lines open up to being keying for the Black Temple

Also as an interesting side note, did anyone notice the little draenai girl in the red dress? Schindler's List, anyone?
