April 22-24

So is this the 6 year anniversary for GW?

If so, I wonder what all the got planned. Should be big since in all likely hood this is the last one before the release of GW2.

But that is also Easter weekend - I probably won't even get to be in game.

They're planning something big that we haven't been told about. John Stumme hinted at it in his interview. All he said though was that it's something he's really excited about that the fan base doesn't know yet.

Winds of Change is due out soon and we'll have the Birthday party and Easter weekend drops around the same time. I guess just wait and see.

Personally, I'm hoping for some variation on Ryan's Norn Mode idea.

The norn mode concept would be cool. I'm not really done with HM yet, but having that would be neat to see.

One big thing I would like to see is Winds of Change start up. I'm curious to see what kind of weapons/minis/rewards of any kind are going to be made available with it. Since its going to take place in Cantha I would love to see some more oriental themed rewards. Not to mention the costumes, those could be really cool.

Who knows maybe the live team will show up in game for a big event? Double booze and sweet points anyone? ;)

Double booze and sweets? I'll have to get in on that -even if it is Easter weekend.

Not sure if they would just do it b/c of Easter or even the 6th year birthday, but if its a BIG event like when *insert Frog lady's name here* left they may do it again. It should be considering the time between now and GW2. Very possibly the last birthday between now and then. (To me thats a pretty big to-do.)

I would hate to see them squander an opportunity to really go all out.

Consider all the work that had to go into a small holiday like April Fools I would predict this one to be rather large in comparison.

*inserts Gaile Gray's name*

And if they do a double drunk/sweet/party point thing again, I'm a be super upset. Do you know how many years I've been saving my party/sweet points for that specific event to come around again?! And do you know when I just consumed everything?! TWO MONTHS AGO! I would have made so much more money selling my extra sweets/party. I still need more points for sweet too. /rant

Also very much hoping for Norn mode.

As for Winds of Change, my hope lies in more 12-man dungeons. Double bonus points if they drop ecto, shards, gems, or some new valuable. Is that asking too much?

Maybe I just didn't understand because I wasn't into GW that early in the game, but I never understood what the big deal was with Gaile. I always just suspected something was up between her and one of the lead devs, lol.

Easter weekend would be a tough time for a lot of us to have an extra big weekend. I can just see trying to explain to my other half why I can't take as much time as I want to celebrate Easter with her, one of the biggest times in the Christian calender. Oy vey, so much in trouble I would be.

Get her to start a character and farm some fat Easter loot?

Speaking of loot, I'd say there is a good chance they will shoot rewards up through the roof during this event like they have for Halloween and Easter. Would love to get an inventory full of bday cake stacks... :)

At the very least, we can predict super ridiculous prices for year 6 minis/gifts.

And she didn't even leave, she just moved to a different role in the company

Oh yea, she's still a big part of GW, and even the PR team. She just said on Facebook that she found a bug in GW2. I mean.. she said she found a bug in her kitchen.. *cough* *cough* *wink* *wink* ;)

I didn't get that vibe, but the big deal with Gaile was that she was the first PR person for GW and everyone loved her. She would actually play in-game and enjoyed her job, plus she was fantastic as what she did. I have screen-shotted somewhere where she actually answered my question directly on GW during one of the events, and where we played Dragon's Nest together. So when she left, after a few years of faithful service, she got a big party and that's the big deal with Gaile. Plus she's just a pretty cool woman.. even if she's an LA King's fan.. /grumble

She still gets on for some events, doesn't she? At least she did a year ago, I saw her at the Wintersday before last.
