I was wondering if anyone played eve online... I just started playing again and have my own Corp but looking for an alliance to join ingame.

Not sure about alliances at the moment, but CowRocket will inevitably post soon. 
I want to play, but I realize I can't invest in the game in the way I would want to, and I have a hard time investing any less. I have another active trial account right now, though. Because Eve.

These games are polar opposites. If you want to create your own story and feel you'll be good at creating content for yourself, play Eve. If you want to have the developers guide you and be on a set path, play GW2.
