Anyone pick up Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS yet?

Just wondering, I was going to pick up soon, and was hoping for some opinons. However, seeing as this is a PC-centric crowd, I'm not sure too many of you have even heard of Animal Crossing. Which is terribly sad people, terribly sad.
 
Animal crossing was one of the best games I have ever played.

I was a bit disappointed that Harvest Moon was more like it.

My daughter has a DS, but we haven't gotten Wild World for fear it would just be a watered down AC.

Most of the reviews seem to indicate that the addictive core gameplay is still there. The loss of collecting NES games hurts though, apparently. I was curious about the Wi-Fi aspects in particular.
 
From what i have seen the game is suppose to be the same as the GameCube Animal Crossing. The Wi-Fi would probably be the same as just sticking 2 memory cards in but you could see eachother at the same time since you would both have to be on.
 
Well, I just spent a little time with Wild World, and it's largely the same...only on two small screens. The stylus makes controlling the game easier of course. It's just as addictive still...which is amazing, considering how little has changed.
