Beware to linux users, the game will occasionally segfault and ruin your mouse interface, ill look for a fix to restore the interface. other then that the game runs smooth and loads within half a second on my machine(reiser4 filesystem)

Did you try the external Java server browser? I'm not sure if it comes with the Linux version but I really see no reason why it shouldn't. If it doesn't, just get it from the Windows version.

Yes I did and I also installed the Win ver and used Kquery.

I was playing tonight and I had another one of those "whoa" epiphany moments that this game is not at all played like I thought it was at first. Just like UT2004. There's a kind of jump maneuver that's not documented at all called the DDJ for "double dash jump" and every time I try it seems ludicrously impossible, yet there was a guy I played tonight that did it like it was nothing. Crazy.

Is that move you mentioned for UT2004 or this game?

i'll probably download it, i've been trying to get ut04 again but i lost my registration key and dont feel like searching my house for the book lol. looks good though

DDJs are for Warsow. I can do some of them now... it took about two hours of messing around in a single player server. It's trickier than wall-dodges in UT2004, that's for sure.

Here's a video I made of it so you can see and hear for yourself. Listen for the two quick grunts in a row-- that's how closely the dash and jump (steps 2 and 3 on the diagram) follow each other.

my only question is how much is it like ut04? thing i miss the most is invasion i used to love goin 20 rounds without dying to getting pwned by a flying demon thing

Warsow is kinda like a blend between Quake 3's and UT2004's deathmatch modes. I definitely recommend downloading it and going for a test frag.

An Invasion fan, eh? You should send Kidan a PM; I know that he used to play Invasion.
