Well, we have been waiting for the swelling to recede for several days and learned the reason it has been so persistent today. It is devastating to report that as a result of vasospasms post surgery, and despite heroic efforts to prevent it, Heather has lost nearly her entire right temporal lobe. What this likely means is that the paralysis of the left side of her body will likely be permanent. There is slight hope for some recovery but it will require a miracle. She is scheduled at 7:30 am for more surgery to remove necrotic brain tissue in an attempt ot prevent damage to the left side of her brain. If successful, she should recover with her cognitive, speech and personality intact, as well as full use of her right side. Please pray for her and the family.
