An insulting question

Yes, I would be banned for it, I'm asking because I wrote on an email concerning about donating to ToJ/CGA, to "help out", CGA and its affilations......and it never came through(A week to be exact).

My question is, in a sensible way:

Can you Christians be stubborn or arrogant when I, Corpfox, Julien try to help out you people? And when I want to get help from you Christians?

First of all, Corpfox, referring to us as "you Christians" and "you people", and calling us "stubborn" and "arrogant" isn't going to get you far. As mentioned above, your e-mail may have gone to somewhere or someone that was not incorrect. The holidays are just now wrapping up, too, so it's likely that someone may just not have gotten around to responding.

I, for one, appreciate that you want to help.

I will answer your questions, but I can't promise a quick reply. With the new semester starting and the new year just starting, I have a lot on my plate right now. Please bear with me.

-Tek

I gave Tek7 an email begining of January, and fully understand when he was away till Jan 3rd. However, I don't understand why he had the time to post in this forums and not reply my 1 email quickly.

How much would you require to keep ToJ/CGA up and running?
(Won't need an answer for that since you had time to say it on the forums.)

Would you use some of it towards making a CS game server, or any game server?

Would you sent some of it towards a fellow CGA member/ToJ member?

When I have donated, will you accept my requests if needed or required?

Are requests limited? If so, what kinds of requests can I use?

I am willing to help out CGA and ToJ.
If you cannot answer those question above, I cannot help out with your donation needs.

If anyone can answer those questions above, I'd really appreciate it.

If you are hurtfull about my accusations and "hate" posts, the admins do have an option, they can ban me.

Seriously, why do you have such an attitude about this? Also, you need to cut Tek some slack. It's been a week, but please don't publicly assume that he has ignored your request. Perhaps he was thinking of the best way to answer you?

I suggest you end this discussion here and now, and take this up privately with Tek.

Corpfox: I sent my replies by e-mail as well as posting them here. In the future, I would appreciate it if you would contact me by instant message, private forum message, or additional e-mails if I don't answer after a week. I admit my time management skills are not what I'd like them to be, but please remember that all the work I put into this community is unpaid and I must still find a way to pass my college classes, spend time with my wife, and search for a job to help pay the bills.

In short, please cut me a break, eh? -_-

And for the record, I'm choosing not to ban you because (1) you contacted me privately before posting this thread (though it would have been more prudent to send a "reminder" e-mail instead) and (2) you've been around a long time and I don't want to ban you. Banning people from the forums is one of the worst parts of my job.

Still, for the sake of preventing a flame war, I apologize to you for not answering your e-mail more quickly and ask that others would let this matter go.

Here are my answers to your questions, Corpfox:

Since ToJ and CGA are two separate organizations, they draw on different accounts. The yearly expenses for CGA are approximately $170 a year. Currently, the only expenses for ToJ are the web site hosting and domain renewal. These total approximately $140 a year.

This question would be strictly limited to Tribe of Judah expenses as, currently, no funds donated to CGA go toward game servers. In regards to ToJ, any funds above and beyond the monthly web hosting and domain name renewal will go toward our next dedicated hosting account.

Corpfox said:

Short answer: Probably not. Long answer: This probably wouldn't be a good idea as we're about $400 short of opening our next dedicated server hosting account already. If there comes a time in the future when we have a surplus of funds, then we would likely donate to other Christian organizations rather than individuals. Still, I don't want to answer this question with an absolute "no" as there may be situations that call for sending money to individual members. For example, if a member of our web team needed a specific software package and couldn't afford it himself or herself, then we may consider purchasing the software for that web team member. Any such decision would need overwhelming consent from staff members; I would not take it upon myself to make such a decision independently.

I don't quite understand the question. Are you asking if you can specify what your donation is spent on?

Corpfox said:

Again, not sure what you mean here. Can you clarify?

(2) you've been around a long time and I don't want to ban you. Banning people from the forums is one of the worst parts of my job.

Well, doesn't matter, my request for donating money is you must ban me for 3 months(or an equal amount of my previous temporary ban).

I am willing to donate $150 US within the 3 month span of my banning probation.

Meaning, while I am banned from the forums, I will donate $50 US per month, total of $150 for the first 3 months of the banning probation.

Notice: If I am not unbanned within the 3rd month of my probation, I will not donate the other $50 US.

That is my strict request.

I'll give you about a week to think about it(or less if you do temporary ban me the following days).

And since people are angry at me for posting this thread, it is a good way to temporary ban me again anyways. :)

WoW...if you really want to donate just donate privately. If you don't get a response contact them privately.

Let me get this straight... you will donate if you are banned, and if you are not banned, you won't donate?

No offense, but that is one of the strangest things I've ever heard. Do you have a running bet with someone to see who can get banned from the most forums?

9.Any forum member who posts complaints without first trying to resolve the matter privately will have his or her thread locked and/or deleted and possibly receive a warning or temporary ban.

I've been here for nearly 6 years, but I've never done donations ever. When I had the money, I wanted to donate, but never had the guts to do it. My idea is, I am banned for that period of time, when I am unbanned, it means CGA and its affilations are truly what they really are.

Meaning, I don't trust you. So, if I'm banned, then unbanned, then I do trust you for donating.

No offense, but that is one of the strangest things I've ever heard. Do you have a running bet with someone to see who can get banned from the most forums?

You did notice I was banned a few months ago (by my request), then locked from the forums before that (flame war in the RD forums).

No bets from anyone, this is my reckless idea.

My guess was that Corpfox is unable to exercise the self-control to stay away from the forums, and so having Tek ban him would ensure that he couldn't visit the site even if he wanted to.

That's complete speculation, though. I'm pretty confused myself.

Fine.

1st: It was stupid for me to post this thread. However, I'm not gonna apology since I am always a few centimeters of getting kicked from this community.

2nd: Donations are as planned, except I will leave the forums for 3 months. Maybe more if I am gonna disobey the ToS statements, again.

3rd: Admins, Moderators, whoever has forum power, lock/delete this thread Or else...

4th: Or else... I will flame harshly towards Mr_Slice as I've done to a couple of ToJ'ers in the past. (Goose62, Babo, Atown, etc.)

As soon as I donate the first or all portions on Paypal for CGA/ToJ, I will log-off and won't return till the end of my leave.

Now you're threatening the mods? That's not a good idea.

I don't understand why you can't just post an apology. Posting an apology won't get you banned.

*scratch head*
If you have a problem with the internet you should tell someone, I dunno what this is all about, but find someone you can talk to.(not post to or email to) you worry me...

This is possibly the strangest thread ever. Threa closed...for surpassing oddity and prevention of flaming. And because I don't see anything good coming out of continuing this discussion.
