An actual use for mini pets!

I've been meaning to post this since I came across it a couple of weeks ago. There is an actual, game-enhancing use for mini pets... Are you ready?

According to GuildWiki, they count as allies for Leader's Comfort and Healing Burst!

Seriously! Go take a look. :)

So now I can claim a legitimate use for my sweet little miniatures: in the right situation, they can help the party. :D

The fact that I have had them all along is entirely inconsequential...

Oh, and have you noticed that they can be knocked down by AoE knockdowns like Giant Stomp? That is just too cute!
 
It didn't look like they added anything good to the party when you use Healing burst, just a possible energy loss. Am I reading it right?

I knew they could be knocked down. I was with you in Dragon's Lair today, after all... when we had 4 pets going at once o.0

I tried to get a good screenie but couldn't, they moved too much
 
I hate to rain on your parade, but I'm sure this is not an intended function of the mini-pet. So, enjoy it until they fix it.

However, the only chance they won't "fix" this is if the minipet won't function in PvP. Has anyone tried to use a mini-pet in PvP?
 
It may not be intended but it has been known information for some time. The fact that Anet hasn't nerfed it yet doesn't make me think they will anytime soon.

I don't ACTUALLY use it for the boost. I just felt better having a (very flimsy) justification for my minis. :D
