Amazing Pumpkin Carvings

btw ... not mine, not not not mine!!! I found pictures of these from pumpkin carving contests. I thought they were cool enough to share. But, they are not not not not (and incase I forgot to say it, NOT) mine. :) It would be nice to have those skills, but I don't. I add numbers, thats all I do. Sometimes, I subtract them, but only if I'm really, really good.
 
I knew someone that made some really cool carvings last year and then he shared how to do it. Basically you take a picture and convert it on the computer to greyscale and reduce it somehow so you only have three shades of grey. Then you print and pin the picture to your pumpkin. The white parts don't get cut, the darkest parts get cut out, and then grey parts just get shaved partially away. You end up with some awesome creations. I wish I had the exact instructions again. I never got to actually try it myself.
