Am I missing something? Living storyline..

So the first day it came out I ran around like everyone else and got my achievement within the hour. Then ran around and didn't really find anything exciting about it since I already got my achievement...Was that all there was to it? I keep checking with the herald and he says nothing new...either i'm missing something or it's slower than I thought.

You're not missing anything. I think the goal with living story is to slowly roll things out over time, not telling people when they are. It's meant to feel like a "living changing world", versus a "hey guys, between these two days is an event!".

There are some new events floating around, I ran into one in Wayfarer Foothills.
