Alternatives to WordPress?

My personal site was recently flagged by Google as containing malware. I've spent way, way, way too much time cleaning up after code injection attacks and I need to use a platform I can trust to not get infected again 5 minutes after I clear bad code.

I'd like something that integrates with Gallery2 or Gallery3, allows easy posting of news and photos, supports plugins and themes, and is more secure than WordPress.

I have hundreds if not thousands of photos on my web site, so exporting from/importing to a full blog/gallery solution would be a headache, but would probably be more polished than a WordPress/Gallery2 integrated site.

Any suggestions?

I would use Flickr or another cloud based gallery and embed it in Wordpress. I've done that in the past with good results. Flickr is great for this.

You could always do it old school and notepad + html it up!

Drupal if you're willing to spend a little more time getting it set up.

Also heard a lot of good of Joomla.

That is what I do. Flickr is still pretty awesome even after Yahoo took over.

to be honest, i've worked with wordpress for the last 5 years and usually its a pebcak error when injects happen like that.

Our church recently had that because our team leader didt want to upgrade our wordpress install for fear of breaking plugins...... our church website was down for over a week >_<

I would recommend drupal as well though. Codeigniter is alright if you get a cms thats already built ontop of the framework or you can learn a whole new system

Drupal is a rocket ship and can be daunting if all you need is a car to drive across town.

I decided to give WordPress one more shot. I nuked everything under my public_html directory, installed a fresh copy of WordPress with only the plugins absolutely required to run my site, and imported my posts. The site is up and running now and I'll keep a close watch on malware reports under Google Webmaster Tools over the next few weeks. I'm hoping that I burned out whatever bug was at the root of the problem and can go on happily (and infrequently) updating my site as before.
