Advice requested: PvP

So, having deleted my hoard of abandoned characters, I wish to use one of my open slots to make a decent PvP character.

I'm a bit lost on how I should go about this. It is my understanding (read: I heard it somewhere) that the premade PvP characters are not really that good, but it would take me a long time to work out a strong, high level character, since I'm starting to devote more time into achieving a goal.

So what thinks should I consider when I start persuing this?

There are a few good Builds out there!! We just did a trapper build and won 3 GvG matches in a row!!! I will be more than willing to help you build a Character!! Just hit me up on TS.

hey i need advice too i just got another 3000 faction should i unlock apply poison or spike trap? (whatever the elite trap is)

If you want to build up a quick 1000 faction points, an easy and relatively quick way to do this is the training arena (accessed from the Master of the Paths in the Isle of the Nameless - just outside the Great Temple of Balthazaar), or the Zaishen Challenge (you have to beat the training arenas to unlock this map point). Because you are playing NPC's, the game limits you to 1000 faction points per day, but it doesn't take too long, less than 1/2 hour for 1000 faction.

When I do this, I usually use a trapper, either Derk or the trapper template PvP character. Lay traps inside your base and draw the NPC's in over the traps, although even running the flag out on that map, you can lay the traps and still take out the opponent pretty quick. Just always target the monk first and as soon as he is rezed.

A full group of trappers in the Zaishen Challenge is effective too. It's quite entertaining to see the IWAY or IW Mesmers drop so fast.
