I love Power Aura Classic, the most powerful and flexible cooldown/warning/display mod I have seen.
Here is an example of my main use of it.
Each of those 3 arcs appears as I get 1 point of Holy Power. When the final 3rd one hits, I get a nice audio sound (sonar ping) as well. It is so fantastic to see this nice and sparkly-graphic-like and not have to stare at my unit frame.

Other uses I have is it will splash a HUGE red graphic if I have a seal down, or if I enter an Instance with crusader aura on (noob). I use it to monitor cooldowns on very specific skills under specific conditions and much much more.
Best part about /powa is that there are lots of premade scripts for every class and you just copy paste and its all done.

I...uhhh...am using NO addons...don't really see a need for them now...I was only using a few to begin with...but I much prefer the default UI...and the things I used addons for have been added into it...

But seriously mods are all about fun and convenience to me. I love tweaking them and finding all the ways I can improve my reaction time by making things more streamlined and readily available then stock wow. Plus there are so many conveniences like auto sell of vendor trash and auto repair and stacking/sorting of bags, and searching your alts bank/bags and knowing the min/max of a piece of gear compared to the ones i wear in different sets. list goes on and on.
Actually besides the fun and convenience , they improve my game/skills quite a bit.

Check out the LIU add on package. I find it very clean and easy to use.
