Dude, just listen to the news. This government is taking powers not given to it by the Constitution and misusing them.

Please don't listen to the news. They rarely report the actual truth. They don't necessarily lie all the time but they don't exactly report anything other than what they want to report. The best news you can receive about the war in Iraq is from the men and women who've served over there. They see what is actually happening and almost all of them are very proud of what they are doing over there. I see a lot of what goes on that you don't. I work in and around this everyday. I work with the Air Force under the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency).

As for George Bush, he's definitely a hero of mine. This man does what he believes is the right thing to do no matter what it may cost him in popularity points. He includes God in his decision making. Sure, we may be taking a hit in the pocket book every now and then but we are the richest nation in the world and it is our duty to help everyone that we can. You think the war in Iraq is about oil? This is about helping a nation that couldn't help itself under the thumb of a tyrant and mass murderer. This is about keeping Iraq from becoming the base of the terrorists that knocked down our World Trade Center. We severely crippled them when we took out the Taliban but they're like roaches, they scatter when the lights go on. They are now spread out among Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Pakistan. We've kept them on the run and prevented them from organizing enough to strike us again. Our military is proud of what it is doing. It's what they train to do everyday. It's the people who aren't over there putting their lives on the line that are doing all the crying. And why? Because it's so expensive to fill up their Hummer.

Thanks Astrod00d!!

Also if the Democrats had listen to Bush in the beginning of Term 1 we would not be having this Hike in Gas Prices, we would be supplying our own oil. :D

ugh, don't get me started about politicians and oil prices.

we should have been oil-independent for years, but for oil company lobbyists.

lol..looks like we're working into a new thread.

Agreed, the only good news you can get these days is what you can pull off the newsfeed before it is edited by the networks. Anyone remember the good old days when a news story would be something like: House caught on fire, it was put out by the firemen. It happened at 2:30pm on Richardson street. Nobody was injured, but paramedics were on the scene.

Nowadays, that same story would be: George Bush set a house on fire today at 2:30pm, to commemorate the time of day that Captain Planet was on TV 14 years ago. The fire's rights were violated by fire department representatives, with the support of emergency medical personnel. It was a great tragedy, however, since nobody was killed, we won't drag on this story for days. Witnesses on the scene said that it was set by the family rabbit, although the rabbit declined comment since he is obviously guilty and deserves to be elected to public office. George Bush will set fire to your house tomorrow, and if he doesn't, he thought about it, because he's evil and conservative issues suck. Many unborn babies were harmed in the making of this story.
