Aaarrrgggggg - anyone got the secret to the Bloodstone Fen bonus?

I know the basic strategy - I've done it in normal mode - but I just can't get it done in hard mode. I flag the henchies out of the way - heroes on avoid - I've even tried to terra tank it - somehow a Jungle Guardian ends up dead - killing the bonus.

That bonus is the only thing between me and Guardian of Tyria.

Help - please.

Wish I could help but never tried it on Hard mode. If you need a second player to bring along heroes & flag them away, I could help with that I guess.

Thanks - I may take you up on that. I think eliminating the henchies is going to be part of getting this bonus done. That will mean at least two real people.

The mission isn't that difficult. If you haven't done the hard mode - I'll stay on after the bonus and finish the mission for anyone who comes along.

I'm hoping to go out tomorrow evening. I have to cook for 20 ladies for a :30 dinner - but I am bailing out at 6:30 and finding a place to get online.

Ouch - I plan to be in another world by 11:30 this evening. What is the early morning time for you?

Earliest I can be on is 9:30am PST. Wednesday tomorrow is the only day this week I can do it. I have doctor appointments on Thursday and Friday of this week.

Sorry - I'll be at work by then. We'll keep trying. Thanks for offering.

I've done it on HM by myself with just heroes and henchies. My bar was mostly offense but no AOE skills. The 2 henchies were offensive types and my heroes were 3 very laidback and mellow monks that wouldn't harm a fly (or a jungle guardian).

I flagged the henchies out of the area and went in with just the monks. I immediately flagged them to the safe area where the druids go and ran there myself as fast as i could. From here I took it slow and easy. The monks and I ventured out to gather vine seeds and deliver them. At the first sign of trouble or low health we always high tailed it back to the safe point and healed up.

Three monks - I had not thought of that - thanks.

Did you have enough fire power to take out the scarabs?

Thanks Raven - that was the ticket. Three monks and me - it was Guild Wars heaven - I felt invincible.

First time through - just a bit of care - and it worked out fine. Afterwards I killed the guardians and the little beasties with them and got good loot - two gold item drops - a chunk of change - and a couple of piles of glittering dust.

That one little bonus gave me the Guardian of Tyria title. Hurray!! Now on the Cantha - Elonia - and Beyond!!

Thanks - Raven really came through with the monk suggestion. It was a real "D'oh" moment. It seems so obvious in retrospect.

Thanks for the congrats, guys.

It is funny - I really felt a sense of accomplishment in completing the titles for Tyria. Mainly because I never thought I would go back to Tyria after Cantha and Elona came along and I enjoyed them so much.

I wonder if GW2 will be the same way. I'll have a great time in the new era - but enjoy going back to GW and covering some of the bases I hadn't - or even starting new characters. I wonder.

Well I think as officers, we cannot just up and ditch GW. Some won't ever play GW2, so how can we just leave them to fend for themselves?

they'd be lost - I think - lol

I'll be around in GW even with GW2 out there - it it ever comes over the horizon.

Wonder if we keep recruiting for GW after GW2 comes out? I think we need a good idea of balancing between the two and I know I'll have to try not to gush to much about playing the new game LOL

I actually think there will be some parts of GW that we will miss in GW2. Newer is often better in gaming - that is what I expect with GW2. That doesn't mean that I won't long for the 'good old days' of GW prime. I see myself playing both...right now.
