A really amazing video of the U2 spy plane

^_^ Where did you read that.

Sorry, should've sourced. I was just thinking about this article I had read, and didn't feel like googling. Here's the article covering the multiverse claim specifically:

FTA:
That, they insist, is the only possible conclusion if we are to take quantum physics seriously. "Quantum mechanics forbids a single history," says Hertog.

I think what is happening, in a lot of ways, is a good thing. Quantum physics starts with a few assumptions...like time as a non-constant, or that the fabric of the universe can be bent. This sort of thing is hard to "prove" incorrect, which is sad because you shouldn't have to prove things incorrect. The onus of proof is on those saying these things exist, but instead they say, "you're so dumb if you don't believe this, it's science lol!"

However, as things are thought through, studied further, you come to conclusions like the one above. Now you have to believe more with that package...which makes it less believable.

As for the original post... I've seen the numbers for how high U2s fly, but really wasn't able to visualize until now. Very cool footage, and thanks for sharing!

That goes for all science discussions not just quantum physics. Science is constantly changing (some would say "refining") its explanations of how stuff works as methods become more advanced. People that argue this way don't seem to realize that 95% of all science is "theory" and the other 5% are "laws" which man has defined. . .

Well, to be fair...it goes for most discussions, science or otherwise. Many Christians will say the world is flat because Revelation says the horsemen come from "the four corners of the earth". Ok, so it isn't that bad, but you know what I mean. Sure, we don't tend to see as much "intellectual elitism" among Christians, but we just replace it with "holier than thou" in a lot of cases. We call ourselves by tens of thousands of denominations because we follow people and not Christ (no, that wasn't a shot at everyone who attends a denominational church).

I think it comes down to what was said above about using those big brains God has given us, and not being satisfied in our ignorance. I'm not saying anybody should have their doctorate in quantum physics, evolution, or any other nonsense, but we should at least know enough about these things to know why they're wrong. :)
