A question for the ladies: What game(s) are you playing?

When I put a Wii Remote in my wife's hand and asked her to shoot zombies with me, I didn't expect her to like Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. It turns out it's one of her favorite games on the Wii--so much so that we've been watching sales in hopes that we can buy the game at a discount.

Even after 3 years of marriage and 22 years of gaming, I can't always predict what my wife will and won't like.

So I wanted to ask the ladies: What game(s) are you playing? If you could take a few minutes and tell me what the game is like, in your own words, and tell me why you like it, maybe it'll give me greater insight into the world of the female gamer.

Right now:
Guild Wars
Rock Band
Karaoke Revolution (Been an avid player since first one)
Dungeon Runners
Second Life (which borders on a game in many ways)

Favorites of all time:
Starcraft
Star Wars Galaxies
Everquest
World of Warcraft
Civ series
Warcraft
The Sims (mostly I just like building houses)
Diablo I&II
KOTOR series
Galactic Civilizations
Animal Crossing DS

From the above, you can see that I like MMOs and strategy games, for the most part, and also music-based games.

I love the persistent world feel of MMOs. I remember the very first time I played Everquest, in the beta, and was awed by the feeling like I was in another world. I saw someone run past me, and thought "Hey, that's a real person!" I also like me a little hack and slash, and when I'm feeling I little down, getting into a game and hacking up stuff seems to let out pent frustration.

I've never been fantastic at strategy games, but I like them, and I like controlling everything. I played in a Starcraft group for several years in college, and am not terribly fond of PvP, but would rather play with everyone against the computer. I feel a little bad about beating people (which is probably different from a lot of guys).

As far as music goes, I have sung since I was 8, and I play bass guitar, so that probably explains where my love of music games comes from. In Rock Band, I'd rather sing and let others play the instruments, although I have been working on the drums some.

I'm Roswenthe Aluveaux, and I also have a business - Purl Tearoom (in classifieds). Mirawyn is also in SL.

World of Warcraft is my main game at the moment, althought I rotate in Viva Pinata, DDR, the Raving Rabbids games, and Animal Crossing DS periodically. I also occasionally do beta testing for various MMOs, but haven't found any that I like better than WoW yet. The next big game coming up that I'm excited about is Spore, it sounds like it's right up my alley.

My girlfriend stole my gameboy advance and she plays Sonic and Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and she tried Advance Wars but she didn't like it.

My wife is addicted to the Sims series, Harvest Moon series, and Super Mario Bros Remake minigames for the DS.

I currently play Guild Wars and Katamari Damacy primarily, and Animal Crossing on my DS Lite.

I also play Diablo II with Dorkelf, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess at my friends' house, Impossible Mission and Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls on my DS, The Sims 2, and some miscellaneous stuff. We just bought Diablo for the PS, but can't play it because we don't have a PS1 memory card (though I loved what we played of it).

And when I visit Ishy, I play Guitar Hero or Rock Band. :)

Oh, and Second Life, if that counts.
