In our woman's prayer group/Bible study, we discussed this phrase.

"I believe that because Immanual lives I will expect victory every time."

The lady who was teaching this then told us a story about a women who believed that all her children would be saved because of Acts 16:31-34.
"They replied, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.' Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole family."
Well all her children did accept Christ except one. He grew up, and one day he joined the military and was sent out on active duty in a combat zone. Three months later she heard a knock on her door. It was 3 military man come to tell her that her son was MIA (missing in action) and most likely dead. She refused to believe it. She basically said he isn't saved, and God promised me that my entire family would be saved so I he's not dead. Well months began to pass, people tried to convince her that he was dead. She wouldn't accept it. Years began to pass. People still tried to convince her. She won't accept it. Five years, ten years, fifteen years and she still stood on the Word that her whole household would be saved. After waiting 20 years she heard a knock on the door, and there stood a ragged, slim man. Her reaction, "what took you so long?" She expected God to be faithful even though she had every worldly reason to give up.

"I believe that because Immanual lives I will expect victory everytime."

It made me think of all the times that I hoped for victory, but never really expected much to come out of it. I want to expect victory every time.

Yes, it's a good witness sister :)

Although some prayers are not answered until the smoke of the insense hits the Lords nose, tis good to know He is King over ALL :)

Revelation 8:4
And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
