as a fellow guildmate in redeemed , i want to ask but 1 question to all of you...... have you ever felt like a useless piece of trash , just not any good to a raid group or instence group? i know i have , many times and to see that side of ones self is a wakeup call that we must improve ourselves , even if it means giving up our dreams in the process to promote growth of a thing .
what im asking is , after being a healer for over 1 and ahalf years , is it possible to change all that and go something else to prove yourself even if it means risking more then you would get back if successful?

You can always give it a try! If you don't like it, do 5 dailys to pay for a respec! Treehouse is resto, and treebranch is dps. Why? Just for fun!

This should be a fun experience for you, not making you feel useless or inferior or unwanted. Check your own priorities in the game also. Too much competition could possibly take away from the fun aspect if you don't know how to direct it towards a 'fun' time goal. Maybe go back and play a low level toon a bit with another guildy for fun and make sure you read the quests instead of just clicking on them. Some are quite funny. You have so many options with WoW, there should be something fun for you.

I think our American 'The grass is greener on the otherside' attitudes are distructive to our psyche. We strive for the best of everything, have to be on the top of the ladder. What about all of us people who are supporting that ladder, or provide the fertilizer for those who have green yards? Raids take a whole group of 25 and each person is necessary. A group of 5 people do 5 man quests, and each person is necessary. Not one person is better than anyone else, even if they have the best gear out there. They still can't one man Gruul.

Step back and take a look at why your playing and see if you can find out what would rock your socks. Evaluate if that motive is attainable w/o hurting yourself or others. Your goals should never be demeaning to yourself or cause any type of inferiority.

**Big Hug** God Bless Ash

i see some people posted on this thread. as many of you may know , i recently before my account froze respeced linnk to feral again but couldnt tank any groups because they called me "undergeared" , so i have to dps if i ever wanted to go into instences. brug on the other hand , has a almost full tanking set minus a few pieces where he is closer to reaching paladin tanking standards but because of the fact that ive healed for so long , ive never truely attempted to tank with it and my real ambition is to tank so you see where my problem comes in

gear is always going to be rough when switching specs, but I have noticed when going with good guildies or friends to do heroics that it doesn't matter. even if you are undergeared, their skill and gear will make up for it until you have all the shiny gear you want. :)

heck, i love healing tanks in heroics with 11k health. life is less boring.

Just do what you want to do man, Azami has been playing alot of different specs lately cuz I can't seem to resist throwing around both my Prince axes sometimes just because how cool it looks even though Azami does like 400 less dps as enhancement then as elemental...

Main point of WoW as with any other game, is to have fun. Do what makes it fun for you. One thing to do is just run in non-heroic. People still go to these because they are easy, and still get faction for them. I need faction on either one of my 70's so I will be glad to go to Ramps or BF or SP with you. Fast easy faction is good.

i wont actually be back until june so ill be thinking about what these options alot . now id run a few heroics like ramps , bf and some others for fun and gear , but id mostly likely do it on linnk and sometimes brug .

Or, if you want to feel powerful, run someone through a low lvl instance. It's fun to feel like a god sometimes by blowing up VC or Stockades. Just not gnomer, that is still a long instance even at 70.

Start lower than heroics to get your pally tank feet wet. You'll feel better and get an understanding of gaining agro. Do BF, Auchindon instances and Coilfang non heroic for a bit to learn your strategy before going to the heroics. Antherialli still needs Steam Vault rep. as I'm sure others need rep from the lower instances.

if i were to tank on brug , i would need to get some decent boots , neck and cloak before i could attempt it. if it were on linnk , just a helm and some gloves would hold him up. luckly i still have 83 badges of justice from all of those kara runs ive been on with brug, so i might just go buy a cloak and a neck from the vendor in shatt to begin with

i still need lower level rep on mastablasta
(i'm not cool like some of you with many 70's)

you could also run NoNamee threw SM or any other lower level instances as many times as you want! i surely wouldnt mind getting a free level or 2 out of it.

:D:D:D

well if you stil need that rep by june 3rd , let me know because im off of wow till then but any help in practicing tanking skills on brug would be a big help , linnk i have almost mastered his skills of tank because i lvled so long as a feral druid

If your ambision is to tank then tank... Start out tanking Ramps to practice pulls and managing multiple mob aggro... and keep moving up..

If you have noticed pretty much everyones answer is the same Do what makes you happy I have all the types of toons just for that reason I Love healing so I have Jadoron.. Like doing damage so Rolled a Mage..Jadice and tanking is really fun so that is what Mirakle is for..

As long as you make your goals reasonable, you won't be disappointed. Start tanking ramparts and work your way up the instance ladder. If Chalice didn't need to heal Kara so often...I would likely be trying that with her too.....I haven't tanked since BRD hehe.....but then ...there is always Theros...maybe he'll let me try him for a spin hehe

See what you started Brug...now I wanna tank too!
