A few quick computer questions

1. How do i open a link in outlook? I click on it and it tries to save it or something. I just want to open it. I used to use Thunderbird, but my Pocket PC syncs with outlook so nicely.

2. How is Firefox 2. I wanted to download it and heard the final version will be released in 2.5 hours.

3. How do freeware office programs compare with the MS Office package? I'm beginning to greatly despise the MS Office suite and I'd like to try something different.

Openoffice has definately gotten better, It even opened up a document that people with office 2003 had issues with. Unfortunately for those unlucky peeps, the exam was a day away before the teacher issued a document without the weird formatting.
 
Sweet! Thanks for the info.

I just downloaded IE7, and it's pretty nice so far. I'm waiting for FF2 to be released to compare. Should be any second now...
 
It will be interesting either way, ill have to make sure to emerge it sometime. Not many changes in my opinion... About the only major change is they fixed the pango issue, which is only used to render non-arabic characters, but causes a slowdown.

As for the pocketPC, even though I dont own one, I know their are many utils in linux to sync, so it may just require a few mins of google to find the proper plugin or whatnot.
