A Comic Book Thread

Daredevil The Man Without Fear series by Frank Miller is great. (Even if you don't really like DD this short run was awesome)
I love and own all the early Image runs. Especially liked Spawn, Super Patriot, Gen 13, Freak Force, WildC.A.T.s and Pitt.
The Maxx is great, the MTV oddities animation of it is pretty nice too.

So... any non-anime sounding, non-marvel/dc/etc... that you guys like?

I'm currently subbing to Star Wars: Darth Vader and the Lost command. It isn't bad. 4 Issues into it, it's going strong lol.

I'm looking for other comics to fill in the gap between issues. Any ideas?

Guessing you've read Star Wars: Legacy? Has its ups and downs, but, from what I read (first couple TPBs), the ups are pretty good stuff.

I'm pretty new to comics, so I'm mostly only in the know on Marvel/DC (and even that is rather limited). Still, SWLegacy seemed solid. There's a run of Dungeons and Dragons that's just recently started, I believe. Promo material (ie, Issue #0) was kinda awesome, playing up a lot of the cliches to humorous effect. From what I could tell, it's not going to be terribly hard-hitting, but it was certainly enjoyable.

If you were up for something more mainstream, The Spectre (from DC) seems quite interesting. I've only got one story arc at this point, but neat premise and a willingness to grapple with notions of justice in a way that I don't see many superhero comics do.

Too many posts didn't read them all xD, but If you has a library nearby you might be able to find some good comics/manga.
I really enjoy reading Thor and some of the older Avenger comics..
Also the other day Grey picked up a manga at the library and I started reading it..
It's called Yotsuba&! , It's be really funny at times :p.
There's a dude in there called Jumbo , He looks like Keero xD

<3 for Yotsuba.

Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run (24 issues with him) is pretty epic.
I found the "animated" version of Astonishing X-Men on Netflix. I don't care for the animation style at all, but the decision to feature Kitty Pryde as senior staff at the Xavier Institute definitely caught my interest. I may sit through the awkward animation just for the story.
