Why would you saddle it with xp which is horrible for multitasking...

mini mac with maxed ram is the best expirimental tool for mac. i enjoy mineyou know, I've been looking at getting a Mac for awhile, though I don't do a whole lot of video stuff or graphics stuff (though I wouldn't mind doing it as a hobby).
I remember jumping from a 2GHz P4 to a dual core opteron 1.8GHZ, it was pretty amazing how fast that thing could compile. I literally built my entire OS within 8 hours, w00t. Now I don't use gentoo, but those were pretty fun days.
