...background downloader DLed 126MB for me over the last few weeks. In the end, I only DLed 25MB x 2 computers = 50MB w00t, ty background lag creator.

I just downloaded the patch from fileshack.com and it came in at a whopping 454mb from the site. I am just wondering what the difference is from that to the verison the Blizzard Updater is handing out?
 
It could be that you downloaded a cumulative patch (includes all patches since release) or the background lag creator did some pre-installs. I did notice that it was the fastest installing patch as well.
 
for some stupid reason this computer seems to think that the firewall is on, however when I press the button to turn it off it says that it is already off. any idea what to do about this?
 
Hooray for Dial-up, I've been downloading the patch since 2 PM EST and i still have 4 hours left till I finish. Current time is 7:40 PM. I'll be online tomorrow sometime.

I couldn't get the patch with the WoW downloader. I went to Gamespot and downloaded the 151MB patch in about 2 hours. The WoW downloader would have taken me over 4 hours to download the 25MB, go figure.
 
once they finish patching the game then they will work on the downloader probs and get that working correctly....
