1337500 Experience Survivor Title

A Servant

New Member
I'm on a mission to get legendary survivor. Currently I am at Lvl 19 and 49%. Here is my game plan in two words. Rigged Scrimages!
8 guildies level 20 of course take on little ol me Kindly Hero and they all commit suicide while having the flag tower captured this offsets DP sorta. Sesion length about 22 mins. 8000exp per session minimum from players plus the Victory or Death bonus at end of 20 min mark. That would mean aproxiametly 119 Rigged Scrimages at 22 minutes a session for this title of Legendary Survivor. Best way to eat an elephant one bite at a time. Doing this once a day or once a week would be great. Anyone interested in helpin me with this task? Better safer easier ideas POST them.

Ok I must have missed something badly here. Explain. My perception is that you are asking people to give you something that you didn't earn so that you can display your "title" to the gaming world as though you did earn it.

In other words, you are wanting people to be a party to your deception. I am appalled that you would have the audacity to even ask this on a public forum.

Again I ask for an explanation so that my perception may be altered.

hehehe i thought about the same plan but was to lazy. i think it would work well for leveling, like once u sear, pop into scrims and a level 20 lets u kill them for exp. but i agree with halonic, its not a fully earned title

I could understand if a group of people were to get together and work toward the title, with people alternating suicide and leveling, but it still seems rather lame to waist all that time...

The sheer time you put into it would be enough for me to say I earned it. Do you know how long it would take to earn Leet Survivor even with this plan. Sheesh

Ok so been talking with SP. And we got a modded build to accomplish this. Monk Ranger or Ranger monk, or monk necro People sacking themselves. Quickening Zepher Serpants Quickness Resserect Dwaynase light. 8 people Other uses for this would be to level a character to 10-15 or so in about for those of use who want to have a quickly leveled character. PWER LEVELing Title beside the point.

I must admit it is rather clever but I'm with Halonic on this one. If you don't earn it for yourself, than whats the point in living a lie? This to me is no different than players buying gold on ebay and strutting around their new FoW armor. Totally illegit, although a little less against the EULA.

If you wanna do this legit, get to the first tier on your own. I'd be glad to monk for you and keep you alive. Once you've reached survivor 1 I'll give you some nice safe farming builds that you can get alot of exp from. For instance my warrior solo's hydras and gains a skill point every 1.5 runs. I've banked about 1.75 mil experience on him just soloing these guys and playing the game regularly. Also bring experience scrolls with you at all times.

Do it legit, you'll feel alot better about yourself and truly feel you've accomplished something.

Or better yet, why doesn't SoE do GvG against SOE and have SOE lose everytime so SoE would have an uber ranking...oh yeah, cuz it'd be lame.

Everyone has their own ideas of fun and fairplay. Can you guys honestly say that you have never been run anywhere? At our house running under most circumstances is considered LAME. Or how about standing on one spot all night long ot get the lucky title while you slept (LAME)? Sometimes part of the game is finding a way around things, not that we condone being lame. I would like to see your warrior build for the hydras though. Please post Kel might have fun with that.

I agree, some of us find entertainment in different ways, like some of the people in our guild dont like PvP and love PvE and vise versa. I myself dont really work for titles unless im really bored or its accidental. You guys may say that it is cheating but some of the other things we do are exactly the same like Kel said. I know i have been run places, I have even paid to get run through a mission. People just look for a way to get through things faster and thus they find a loop hole that works. I am impressed, cause i would have never thought of trying to do survivor that way.

This is just my opinion on this.

Pfft, I stayed up for most of the hapless title!

On the topic of the Charmed/Lucky/Hapless/Unlucky title, I don't think there is any delusion that this title is phoned in and bought. The cost of the tickets was expensive and the odds are completely against making a profit (as with any casino). It is true that I was sleeping for a good portion of the title, but so was everyone elses. ANet knew this going in since there are titles set up that would be completely unattainable, even if you could have kept your character on 24 hours a day for the entire event.

As for the survivor title, the game mechanic does allow XP in scrimmages. Although it may not be the intent, ANet could always remove XP from scrimmage matches. I am sure there are some survivor titles out there that were earned in this way.

Now, that being said. I like to look for opportunities to help guildmates with their goals. However, I like it to be something enjoyable. The original plan posted would require more than 3 hours a night for 8 other people every night for 2 weeks. This sounds incredibly tedious and I would not enjoy doing this.

Now, as mentioned above, if you would like guild members to group with you through a certain zone, I'd be happy to spend some time with you in group. As long as everyone in the group understands that you may map or alt-F4 out if things get hairy.

If you could ascend and make it to ToA or Zin Ku, I would even consider having you tag along for a 55/SS 2 man run. If you have primary or secondary monk, you could bring along vengence in case the 55 dies and other maintained enchants like Succor to speed up regen for both the 55 and SS/SV. A N/Mo would be ideal for an occasional Blood Ritual and Well of Blood/Power.

I have been run, many times. But that is only for the purpose of preparing a PvE toon for PvP. I started getting run after my 4th character got through the game. That was only becuase it takes so long to get to that one elite skill I want. It's a little bit different than achieving a title that is supposed to be based on player skill. Getting run isnt about playyer skill it's about taking a shortcut to a skill or a new area. I've unlocked each area enough as it is, I don't need to do it again for a 5th time. A title is a sign of prestige, work and has a certain level of honor to it. I see someone with the title: "Kind of a Big Deal" and I see a person who's taken the time to explore both continents, farm enough gold to buy alot of ale and waste time to use it all, and spent money on enough keys/ident kits to gain the Wisdom and Treasure hunter titles. All those things must be earned, and there is a certain level of respect that goes to someone who has achieved the title of "Kind of a Big Deal", sure they wasted many hours of their life away but in game it means something. I hold the same respect for many players with the Survivor titles because it isn't an easy task, especially with constant lagg and disconnects many people encounter and all the other factors.

That being said, why have the title if you didn't earn it, will you really feel you've accomplished something if you gain the title by fixing scrimmages?

why have a elite skill you didnt earn it, will you really feel you've accomplished something if you gain a skill by getting help ran etc.

To answer you directly. Yes I will cause I thought it up it works and I invested the time and effort to get there with a way the game allows.
